Education programs

The National Center for the Promotion of Cultural Properties (CPCP) develops and implements educational programs for schools and museums to help children all across Japan become better acquainted with cultural properties.

Launched in fiscal year 2019, the CPCP Outreach Program is an on-site viewing program that makes use of high-precision reproductions of folding screens and other artifacts. School children in Japan can come face to face with masterpieces in locations they visit in their everyday lives, locations such as their classrooms or school auditoriums. Our program is also widely used in arts and crafts, fine arts, and classical classes, as well as in workshops at museums.

In addition, we also make available materials (such as program scripts and reference videos) for teachers and curators to use when putting together their own programs.
